Traditionally, getting a crown meant two or more visits: one appointment to prepare the tooth and take an impression, a few weeks wearing an uncomfortable temporary while a dental lab fabricated the permanent restoration, and a second visit to have it cemented in place. With our new in-office mill, that entire process now happens in one appointment, while you wait.
- Digital Scan. Instead of traditional “goop” impressions, Dr. Ocharoen uses an intraoral scanner to capture a precise 3D digital image of your tooth and bite in minutes.
- Custom Design. Using advanced design software, Dr. Ocharoen designs your restoration on-screen, fine-tuning the shape, contour, and fit to match your natural bite and neighboring teeth.
- In-Office Milling. The digital design is sent to the fastmill.io In-Office Mill, which carves your restoration from a solid ceramic block — including durable, natural-looking materials like BruxZir® zirconia.
- Same-Visit Placement. Once milled, stained, and glazed, your custom restoration is polished and bonded into place before you leave the office.
